White Pagodas around Sandamuni Paya

The Buddhist stupa Sandamani Paya near Mandalay Hill is surrounded with hundreds of smaller white pagodas.

Sandamuni was build at the end of the 19th century in order of King Mindon Min. It is a memorial to his younger brother, prince Kanaung Mintha, who was assassinated during the 1866 Myingun Prince rebellion.
