The Buddhist stupa Pha That Luang in Vientiane, the capital of Laos
Pha That Luang is located few kilometers north of the city center. In the grounds of the stupa complex is a statue of Jayavarman the seventh, the last king of Angkor. The structure was commissioned by King Sai Setthathirat I in the 16th century and is an important national symbol.
