Kyaiktiyo Pagoda

Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is a 7.3 meter high golden pagoda which has been built on top of the Golden Rock monolith, which is located in Kyaikto in Myanmar, roughly 200 kilometers from the former capital Yangon.

The golden rock is a meter high granite boulder, which is covered with gold leaf by believers. The rock balances on the edge of the peak of the 1,100 meter high Kyaikto Mountain.
